Privacy Policy for Yalla Write Arabic
Yalla Write Arabic is a handwriting practice app for learning Arabic words. This privacy policy explains how the app handles information.
Information We Collect
The app does not require an account or ask for your name or email address.
Local Data
The app stores practice progress locally on your device so it can remember which words you have practiced. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Audio
The app includes bundled pronunciation audio files. The app may also use your device's built-in speech features as a fallback. The app does not record audio and does not use the microphone.
Children
Yalla Write Arabic is intended for general language learning use. The app does not ask for a user’s age, name, email address, or other account details.
Optional Usage Analytics
After you complete a practice session, Yalla Write Arabic may ask whether you want to share usage analytics. Analytics is off unless you choose “Share usage analytics,” and you can change this choice later in Profile.
If enabled, the app sends limited product-interaction events through TelemetryDeck: app sessions; whether Word of the Day, Quick Practice, or Library practice was started and completed or exited; paywall entry points; and purchase attempt results. The data also includes app/device technical information used by TelemetryDeck and a hashed random installation identifier so we can measure return usage.
We do not send handwriting, drawing data, practiced words, translations, self-grades, progress values, names, email addresses, precise location, advertising identifiers, purchase receipts, or free text.
Analytics Provider and Purpose
TelemetryDeck processes the optional analytics in Europe to help us understand which app features are useful and where the learning and purchase flows can be improved. The data is not used for advertising, sold, or used to track you across other apps or websites.
Your Choice and Data Deletion
You can disable analytics at any time in Profile. Disabling stops future analytics and removes the app’s local analytics installation identifier. Deleting the app removes local practice progress and the local analytics preference and identifier.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy if the app changes. Updates will be posted at this same URL with a new effective date.
